Vercelli to Garlasco

Hello everyone : )

Tonight I’m sitting up here in my bed, tired…once more : ), very sleepy…and feeling pleasantly full after a yummy vegetable risotto. As we are now walking through the Po Valley, land of the rice fields… we both thought it was most fitting that tonight we sample the local fare….delicious!!

My blog tonight will consist of a few of today’s photos to give you a snapshot of the area and the activity of our day…and then it’s nighty night form me. No ramblings… I can hear a collective sigh of relief : ) I’m determined to get to bed early.

Poppies, very prettily dotted the roadside verges..accentuating the vivid green of the fields.

We found another pilgrim today! Geart from Belgium : ) We walked with him until Mortara and then we parted company. He has walked from his home in Belgium and hopes to arrive in Rome,in early July. It was lovely walking with another with the same goal in mind..and we hope to run into him again further down the track.
